Считавшийся погибшим на полях Первой мировой войны, рядовой Бумбараш неожиданно возвращается в родную деревню, словно призрак из забытого прошлого. Его встречают не объятиями родных, а холодным безразличием – деньги, собранные на панихиду, давно уже израсходованы. Страна объята пламенем Гражданской войны, а крохотная деревушка становится ареной бесконечной смены власти: красные, белые, анархисты, бандиты – каждый день приносит новые угрозы и новые надежды. В этом хаосе, среди пуль и штыков, Бумбараш пытается отыскать свое место, найти покой и, возможно, даже личное счастье. Его путь – это борьба за выживание, поиск смысла в мире, охваченном безумием. Сможет ли он обрести мир в этом водовороте революции?
Presumed dead on the battlefields of World War I, Private Bumbarash unexpectedly returns to his village, a ghost from a forgotten past. He is met not with the embrace of loved ones, but with cold indifference – the funds collected for his funeral long since spent. The country is ablaze with the flames of civil war, and his tiny village becomes a stage for the endless shifting of power: Reds, Whites, anarchists, bandits – each day brings new threats and new hopes. Amidst this chaos, amidst the bullets and bayonets, Bumbarash struggles to find his place, to find peace, and perhaps even personal happiness. His journey is a fight for survival, a search for meaning in a world consumed by madness. Can he find solace in the whirlwind of revolution?
