Twelve-year-old Tsoneya, who enjoys collecting peculiar questions and observing people, rescues a boy named Vuk when he nearly drowns in a swimming pool. This incident marks the beginning of their friendship. Vuk is interested in astronomy and plays scrabble. However, Tsoneya gradually notices a sense of anxiety about him; he avoids questions about his parents, carries pepper spray, and sometimes has bruises on his body. Tsoneya is determined to understand what is happening and help her friend.
