This classic Russian folk tale tells the story of a Bunny who built a hut of ice, and a Fox who had a wooden one. With the arrival of spring, the cunning Fox tricks the Bunny out of its melting ice dwelling and takes over its sturdy wooden house. Various animals—including the Bear, Wolf, and Bull—attempt to help the unfortunate Bunny, but none succeed in expelling the wily Fox. It is only the brave Rooster, armed with his scythe, who finally finds a way to restore the Bunny's rightful home. The tale imparts valuable lessons about kindness, justice, and courage.
