This is an old tale recounting ancient rites and fratricidal war, shrouded in the magic of a sorcerer's pipe. In the Princely Mountains dwells a monster, transformed into a dragon a thousand years ago. It is cunning and greedy, its halls filled with treasures and captives doomed to perish. Principalities are forced to pay tribute to the serpent, and its peace is guarded by a formidable warrior. An armed detachment carries a ransom to the dragon: riches and the blind maiden Ratslava, whose pipe wounds her hands.
