Another wave of demons descends upon the land, bringing with it an enemy of surprising strength – a mysterious girl in a kimono who calls herself Grass. Naofumi realizes that with his current combat skills, surviving the next wave will be impossible. However, the king denies the Shield Hero and his companions permission to level up. Hoping to increase his power, Naofumi looks to a neighboring kingdom for assistance. The situation is further complicated when the hero is declared a wanted criminal for kidnapping a princess.
