Данное издание представляет собой собрание научных публикаций и переводов известного российского китаеведа Ларисы Евгеньевны Померанцевой. Серия «Российское китаеведение: избранное» продолжает традиции серии «Corpus sericum», публикуя труды отечественных ученых-синологов. В сборник вошли 15 научных статей, монография «Поздние даосы о природе, обществе и искусстве», а также переводы памятников китайской мысли.
Особое место занимает первый полный перевод на русский язык философского памятника эпохи Хань «Хуайнаньцзы», представленный вступительной статьей и первой главой «Об изначальном дао». Также в сборник включены переводы шести «жизнеописаний» из «Исторических записок» Сыма Цяня, пять из которых публикуются впервые из личного архива ученого.

This publication is a collection of scholarly works and translations by Larisa Evgenievna Pomerantseva, a distinguished Russian sinologist. Continuing the legacy of the "Corpus sericum" series, "Russian Sinology: Selected Works" features contributions from prominent domestic scholars in the field. The compilation includes fifteen academic articles, the monograph "Late Daoists on Nature, Society, and Art," and translations of significant Chinese philosophical texts.
A key highlight is the first complete Russian translation of the Han Dynasty philosophical monument "Huainanzi," presented with an introductory article and its first chapter, "On the Primordial Dao." Additionally, the collection features translations of six "Biographies" (Lieh-chuan) from Sima Qian's "Records of the Grand Historian," five of which are published here for the first time from the scholar's personal archive.
