This work examines the concept of "superfluous people," which emerged in Russian literature and social thought. It considers how this notion relates to the development of civilization and social processes. The historical and cultural prerequisites for the formation of this phenomenon are analyzed. The book offers a perspective on how society defines and rejects individuals who do not fit established norms. The consequences of such alienation for both the individual and society as a whole are explored.
