This is the conclusion to the duology "Death Will Come on Light Wings." Having paid a significant price, Shepset has reclaimed her Ka and is now guided by the dead. Alongside her loyal guardian Nacht, the young priestess pursues the murderers of Pharaoh Ramses. However, the forces against her are vast, with too many involved in the conspiracy and a lack of consensus among allies regarding the next ruler. Enemies who feared the former pharaoh's might are now approaching the borders, aware that the lands of Ta-Kemet are weakened. Shepset relies on the gods and the dead, but the future rests in the hands of the living.
