Rector 'Wreck 'em' Sherman faces his eighteenth birthday and expulsion from the orphanage, a milestone overshadowed by his illicit use of the sap he sells. Haunted by the ghost of Zeke Wilkes, whom he believes he indirectly caused the death of, Wreck escapes the orphanage.
