In the kingdom of Angenor, young men undergo the ritual of tauromachia, a duel with a six-horned bull, to gain glory and the right to serve in the elite army. Heirs to the throne participate in the rite to prove their worthiness for the almandine crown, the warrior's diadem. The death of the sole heir during the ritual ignites a struggle for the crown between King Ose, his brother Teabran, and Princess Vehera. The chronicles depict bloody battles, court intrigues, and betrayal, uniting rulers and tribes in their desire to possess the coveted crown.
