The Gray Starlet: Fairy Tales and Poems
Книга рассчитана на младший школьный возраст, но интересна и взрослым thanks to its philosophical undertones and literary playfulness.

Overview
This collection brings together the distinctive fairy tales and playful poetry of Boris Zakhoder, where even the most unexpected characters—such as a foolish young chick or the brave bird Tari, savior of a fearsome crocodile—are portrayed as thoughtful beings whose reflections lead to conclusions of surprising depth. The tales engage both children and adults, while the second half of the book features paradoxical, witty, and game-like poems that explore a wide range of everyday and universal themes. Designed primarily for younger school-age readers, the volume offers layered reading that resonates across generations.
