Four old university friends decide to escape their daily worries and go on a hiking trip to admire the untouched beauty of Swedish nature. Opting for a shortcut through the forest, the friends soon realize they are lost. Deep within the woods, they stumble upon a strange, long-abandoned house, discovering traces of bloody rituals and ancient ceremonies, and a taxidermied monster in the attic. As they begin finding animal carcasses nailed to trees, followed by human bones, the group understands they are not alone in this wilderness, and their pursuer is not human.
