Kosolapov was among those who sought to prevent the catastrophic developments of the Perestroika period, aiming to preserve the party and the USSR. The book is based on the diary entries of the author-compiler, shedding light on little-known aspects of the daily life and activities of one of the most notable representatives of the former Soviet and party elite in the final years of his life.
