Twelve-year-old Shurka Dobrynin gets his hands on an old compass after karate training. This marks the beginning of his adventures as he rescues a girl, gets an owl, and helps a strange grandmother. After each good deed, Shurupchik gets a wish granted, and he realizes he has discovered the law of the compass: I to you and you to me. But doing good deeds is not so easy. Shurka betrays a friend and his brother, and in pursuit of happiness, he doesn't manage to do the most important thing. Can he fix everything?
