Rene Daumal
This volume collects René Daumal's overtly pataphysical writings from 1929 to 1941. Pataphysics, described as the science of imaginary solutions and the laws governing exceptions, was a concept pioneered by Alfred Jarry. Daumal, an iconoclastic thinker, was the first to elaborate on Jarry's unique philosophy. Though known for his novel "Mount Analogue," this collection offers insight into Daumal the pataphysician. It includes his landmark exposition on pataphysics and laughter, and his late essay "The Pataphysics of Ghosts."
