Sybil Andrews was a significant artist in late twentieth-century Canada, known for her evocative linocut prints. Working from Campbell River, she captured the movement and spirit of ordinary people on Canada's West Coast in her art. Though raised in England, the book focuses on her life after immigrating to Canada in 1947. Andrews established herself by teaching art and music, and her globally recognized artwork gained further acclaim through retrospective exhibitions.
