This book introduces Lifespan Integration (LI), a body-based psychotherapy developed by Peggy Pace starting in 2002. LI is an efficient method designed to help individuals recover from traumatic experiences, including childhood neglect and abuse. Unlike Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, LI works by bypassing the cognitive mind, facilitating learning at the body's level. By observing repetitions of their life narrative, clients' neural systems can integrate new information about the passage of time into existing neural networks. This process restructures neural pathways, retaining memories while acknowledging the progression of time.
