Рассматриваются различные значения слова «природа» и его синонимов, а также реконструируются представления о строении окружающего мира и модели «orbis terrarium». Особое внимание уделяется анализу эмоционального и эстетического отношения к природе, а также особенностям латинского литературного языка X – начала XI веков.

This work examines the medieval European worldview concerning nature at the turn of the first and second millennia. It explores interpretations of the word "nature" and its synonyms, reconstructing past understandings of the natural world's components and the "orbis terrarium" model. The study pays close attention to the emotional and aesthetic relationship with nature in the Middle Ages and the linguistic features of 10th and early 11th-century Latin literature.
