Village farmers in the Mimbres Valley created distinctive black-on-white pottery a thousand years ago. While Mimbres pottery is significant to southwestern archaeology, many sites have been damaged. The Mimbres Foundation excavated the Mattocks site, a large pueblo with approximately 180 surface rooms and pit structures. This book details the site's architecture and artifacts, featuring over 400 photographs of painted vessels.
