The novel "Cruisers" is dedicated to the courage of Russian sailors during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904β1905. The work was timed to coincide with the tragic anniversary of the Battle of Tsushima. For this novel, the author was awarded the State Prize of the RSFSR named after M. Gorky. This volume also includes "Miniatures" β a gallery of portraits of prominent historical figures of the 18th β early 20th centuries who made significant contributions to the development of Russia.
