Stefan Draminski, 2024, Anatomy of the Ship series
This volume offers a detailed visual study of the USS Kidd (DD-661), the only U.S. World War II destroyer preserved in its original configuration. Launched in 1943, the USS Kidd served in the Pacific theater, participating in key operations including the Marshall Islands, the Marianas campaign, and the Philippines. It later joined Task Force 58 for the invasion of Okinawa and served in the Korean War. After its decommissioning in 1964, it was transferred to Baton Rouge in 1982 and is now a museum vessel. This edition combines historical narrative with detailed plans, photographs, and digital artworks.
