Aron Yakovlevich Gurevich (2017) Series: Humanitas
Aron Yakovlevich Gurevich (1924-2006) was a distinguished Russian medieval historian, culturologist, and the founder of historical anthropology in Russia. His research interests were exceptionally broad, encompassing the social history of Norway, the folk culture of the Middle Ages, and ancient Icelandic and Norwegian cultures. The themes of his research are interconnected, forming a remarkable coherence. The articles selected for this collection, in a sense, are companions, drawn into the orbit of his larger scholarly works.
