Kovalev Viktor Konstantinovich, 2021
The story follows Sashka Shubin, an ordinary guy from Donbas who identified with his country. Born in the USSR, he continued to live in independent Ukraine, seeing it as his homeland. The events of 2014 fractured his world, drawing people and territories into civil conflict. Alexander, commander of the Berkut special unit, faces a difficult choice, recognizing that former compatriots might soon confront each other over land each considers their own.
