Книга посвящена деятельности выдающегося норвежца Фритьофа Нансена в Советской России. В 2021 году отмечалось 160 лет со дня его рождения и 100 лет его гуманитарной миссии. В качестве Верховного комиссара Лиги Наций Нансен организовывал международную помощь голодающим регионам страны. Особое внимание уделяется работе Миссии Нансена в Саратовской губернии, наиболее пострадавшей от голода 1920-х годов. Благодаря его усилиям и помощи иностранных благотворительных организаций были спасены тысячи жизней.

This book focuses on the activities of the renowned Norwegian Fridtjof Nansen in Soviet Russia. The year 2021 marked 160 years since his birth and 100 years since his humanitarian mission. As High Commissioner of the League of Nations, Nansen organized international aid for the country's famine-stricken regions. Particular attention is given to the Nansen Mission's work in the Saratov Governorate, the area most affected by the famine of the 1920s. Thousands of lives were saved through his efforts and the assistance of foreign charitable organizations. The book also explores Nansen's unique project to establish agricultural stations in Soviet Russia, aiming to address the root causes of famine.
