In a dreary, grey town, a young girl named Annabelle discovers a box of brightly colored yarn. She begins knitting, first a sweater for herself, then for her dog, and soon finds she has enough yarn to blanket the entire town in a vibrant rainbow. Her magical knitting transforms the town, chasing away the cold and iciness. However, the evil Archduke takes notice of her extraordinary yarn.
