The Acts of the Apostles is the second part of Luke's work, revealing the history of salvation through the prism of the actions of the apostles and the church. The author shows the continuation of the story of Jesus Christ up to the present day, addressed primarily to Christians from among the Gentiles. The purpose of the book is to strengthen the faith of Gentile Christians in the historical roots of their faith, guaranteed by the authority of the apostles.
