This is a continuation of the detective story of the heroes of the novel Ink Heart, which became an event not only in the history of the fantasy genre, but also in the world of books. In this book, the new adventures of the heroes are told, who, with the help of words, entered the Ink World, a world of paper and ink, where fairies, mermaids, and glass people meet. Sajeruk returns home. Farid and Meggie follow him, and soon his parents, Meggie's parents, also arrive – love and friendship do not recognize barriers between worlds. The story, which began in our world and in our time, is transferred to a fairy-tale Middle Ages, where the brush of a skilled artist draws wonderful miniatures on parchment and where it is easy to die at the whim of a wicked ruler. But the heroes meet the challenges with dignity and discover qualities they did not suspect.
