В отличие от большинства исследований, рассматривающих верования эллинов и варваров (например, скифов) по отдельности, данная работа предлагает комплексный подход. Такой анализ позволяет проследить развитие греческих традиций в религиозной жизни Ольвии, Херсонеса и городов Боспора Киммерийского. Также выявляется своеобразие этих традиций под влиянием варварского окружения.

This book delves into the myths, cults, and rituals of the inhabitants of the ancient Northern Black Sea region. Unlike many studies that examine Hellenic and barbarian (e.g., Scythian) beliefs separately, this work adopts a comprehensive approach. This analysis traces the development of Greek traditions within the religious life of Olbia, Chersonesus, and the Bosporan cities. It also highlights the unique characteristics of these traditions influenced by their barbarian surroundings.
