In the 1920s, the Osage Indian nation in Oklahoma held the highest per capita wealth globally. Following the discovery of oil beneath their land, they enjoyed a life of luxury, complete with chauffeured automobiles and European education for their children. However, a series of mysterious deaths began to plague the Osage. As the fatalities mounted, the FBI launched an investigation, which proved to be largely ineffective. In a desperate move, the bureau's young director, J. Edgar Hoover, enlisted the help of former Texas Ranger Tom White to unravel the chilling conspiracy.
