This volume presents a photographic survey of the wall-paintings at Bundi, Rajasthan, documenting their survival. It showcases long-hidden treasures, many published for the first time, revealing details often imperceptible to the naked eye. The royal fort at Bundi houses elaborately decorated palaces, considered among India's most beautiful buildings. These palaces were largely closed to visitors until recently, aiding in the preservation of their painted walls. The artwork depicts court life from the 17th to 19th centuries and scenes from traditional literary and religious texts, illustrating rich cultural interrelationships.
