The snow-capped peaks of the Welsh mountains beckon the Famous Five! The sound of laughter, exhilarating toboggan runs, and breathtaking ski slopes promise an unforgettable holiday. But this idyllic scene is shattered when, through the frosty patterns on the window of the mysterious Old Towers house, the friends glimpse the ghostly figure of an old woman, giving them cryptic signals.
The children's hearts pound with apprehension. They suspect the old woman is being held captive within the gloomy walls of Old Towers. But why? And what secrets lie hidden behind those ancient stone walls? The friends decide to unravel the tangled web of mystery, risking their own lives in the process. Could the old woman's imprisonment be connected to the mining of a rare, incredibly valuable ore in the mountains? Or is the mystery far deeper and more sinister?
